Prisoner of the Past

Ever since I was a Kid,I was accused of cribbing about the present I am living.I was always said to have a problem with what I have atleast till it became my past.

For instance,I started finding my class teacher in class one nice only when I moved to class two.On Every birthday,my birthday cake had to taste my tears as I cried saying previous year the cake was prettier or Bigger or may be tastier.  I seldom realised that ultimately I was the looser there enjoying none of my birthdays(off late I jump with joy even if I get a chance to cut a cake no matter what colour what shape,Thats a different story;))

Coming back to the point. With passing years I figured out that it's not just about me ,but then,it's the human nature of being THE PRISONER OF THE PAST.(Well few duffers have the inbuilt talent not to express it;))Few feel their previous work place was better, while few others think their old boss was nicer.Yet another category of people miss their old bikes also some miss their old girl friends/Boy friends or may be the combination of both bike and girl friends.(In the previous sentence I am not speaking about me at all :p).

Well the bottom line is that everyone of us would have atleast missed our old friends sometime. If you have never been THE PRISONER OF YOUR PAST,I must say you are blessed(You may thank your parents for that great genes of positivity).

"Forget being the architect of your future until you overcome being the THE PRISONER OF THE PAST and just cherish your present",is one golden advice which I am trying to incorporate(Though I still miss my old company every single day;))

Trying to find the best in today
    -Charita:-)

PS:After 5 paragraphs of philosophy I am still cribbing at the moment waiting for the clock to tick 5 as I am in office ;-)

  1. Absolutely right chari, but u know its human tendency not-to adjust immideately for a sudden change. He'll take some time & during this time he'll be scribbing about the past & this u have referred as "prisoner of past".

And you know what...we are always busy dreaming about the future and/or thinking/repenting/cherishing about the past...and thus forget to live and enjoy the present..
